When the first body appeared in Skid Row, it was not an important thing. Skid Row nicknamed Nickel was a slum populated by people who didn't matter. Most of the people were addicts of some kind and LAPD had more important cases to cater to. But when six people died in six months and all in a same way then they had to do something.
These six people had committed suicide by disemboweling themselves while sitting in a pentagram made of chicken blood.
Was it really as suicide or a satanic cult was active there?
Rick Danvers undercover detective with Robbery homicide was assigned to get to the bottom of these killings. Did he succeed?
Well, read the story to find that out.
It was an entertaining read from start to finish. It's a mystery with elements of occult in it. You wouldn't regret reading it.

When he gained consciousness, all he could feel was a blackness around him. He couldn't see anything, couldn't hear anything and couldn't feel anything.
What had happened to him? Where was he and how did he end up there?
The story is told in first person that keeps you guessing till the end. I liked reading it. It's a mix of sci-fi and horror. If i'll say more than i would give up the story so i'll just say that it held my interest till the end. You could read it one time.
Both the stories are short one and can be read in a single day. It was my second time reading them (I had read these in 2015 before and hadn't written about them.) and i enjoyed them as much as i enjoyed reading them the first time.
